The Gladiator in-ground basketball hoop comes in two sizes; a 60" 1/2 inch tempered glass backboard and a 72" 1/2 inch tempered glass backboard. They both offer many of the same outstanding features:

Both have 5-guage galvanized steel, stainless steel hardware and a black powder-coated finish to allow them to withstand the elements.  They both adjust from 5ft - 10ft so even the youngest of players can join in the game.  The clear-view backboard allows you to see the stars.  Having a removable handle enables them to adjust only to the height you want and keeps the competitor from messing with your game.  The backboard pad, pole pad and gusset pads come standard giving these hoops a safe but edgy display.  The triple-spring breakaway side-flex rim will allow for the most turbulent game!  Having standard net attachment hooks helps to make the most of your sports. When purchased with the Gladiator removable game pole, multi-game hardware and multi-game net systems, this handy feature provides for a multitude of additional games that can be played such as; tennis, pickle ball, volley ball, and badminton.

There are a few different qualities that separate these two great hoops:

The 60" has a 3ft overhang, while the 72" has a 4ft overhang.  The overhang is determined by measuring from the pole to the front of the backboard. The Pole size on the 60" is a square single 6" x 6" pole while the 72" hoop has a robust 6" x 8" pole. Because of the weight of the 72" backboard, it requires a 2 cylinder jack, while the 60" backboard requires a 1 cylinder.  To help stabilize the massive 6" x 8" pole on the 72" hoop, 10 steel gussets are required, the 60" hoop requires 8 steel gussets.
