6" Overhang Wall Backing Guide

Wall backing requirements for Gladiator 6" overhang fixed-height wall-mount basketball hoops (54", 60" and 72" backboards).

Upper plate backing: 11'9" to 12'9" above the floor for 54" and 60" backboards; 12'2" to 13'2" for 72" backboards.
Lower plate backing: 8'8" to 9'8" above the floor, the same on every backboard size.
Backing: 12" wide LVL, 3" thick minimum, 4 ft minimum width per plate (2 ft either side of your wall centre mark).
