Wall Backing Guide

Wall backing requirements for Gladiator 36" and 18" overhang adjustable wall-mount basketball hoops.

Backing zone: 88" to 120" above the floor.
Backing: LVL (laminated veneer lumber), 3" thick minimum, filling the stud cavity front to back and run horizontally.
Coverage: the bracket is 16¾" wide with mounting holes 16" apart — back every stud cavity in that area.
Rating: backing must withstand 1,000 lbs of downward force.
