There are two types of balls for Pickleball. First you have the indoor ball. Indoor balls tend to be slightly lighter and have a thinner plastic. Also, the holes in the ball are larger which leads to a softer ball feel and easier control. This is because the outside elements are not a factor which allows the balls to have these properties. Next you have the outdoor ball. Outdoor balls have a thicker plastic, smaller holes, and are a bit heavier. The thicker plastic and smaller holes make them less affected by wind and the thicker plastic helps with durability.
