Installation
Wall backing comes first — wall-mount adjustable hoops only. The battery-powered and manual-crank adjustable wall-mounts, in both 18" and 36" overhang, bolt to a 28" steel wall plate that must land on proper backing: LVL filling 88" to 120" off the floor, rated for 1,000 lbs of downward force.
Open the interactive wall backing guide — it opens in a new tab with animated diagrams for every wall type, plus the wall plate dimensions.

By the numbers
Built to adjust. Built to last.
The specs that matter on a battery-powered wall-mount - the range, the drive, and the parts that keep it true.
Drops to 6 feet for young players and rises to regulation 10 - anywhere in between, at the press of a button.
Hold the arrow and the rim runs the entire range in about half a minute. Let go and it stops where you want it.
A sealed linear actuator does the work. Nothing to reach for, nothing to store, nothing to lose.
The pack lives on the mount and recharges in place - no wiring the hoop into your electrical.
Clear-view 3/8-inch tempered glass with an aluminum edge frame - in 60" and 72" sizes.
Heavy-duty triple-spring flex rim deflects under load and snaps back true - protecting the glass and your wrists.
Safety rim and net connector with Meridian rope anti-tear rim netting keeps the net locked on through heavy play.
Every included bolt, nut, and washer is stainless steel.
Competition-grade padding is mounted to the board at our shop - it arrives already on, with nothing to assemble.

Ten feet to six. Thirty seconds. Zero effort.
No cranking, no ladder, no wrestling a pole out of the closet. One tap on the wireless remote and the rim glides the entire four feet on its own — about the time it takes the kids to pick teams. Prove it to yourself below, in real time.

∞Set-it-and-forget-it power
Charge it. Then forget you own a charger.
The 24-volt lithium-ion pack stores enough energy for hundreds of height changes. Watch one full charge play out below — every bounce of the rim is a real adjustment. Rim-touch height for the kids, regulation for game night, and the charger stays in the drawer for months.
Time lapse — one full charge
Based on the included 24V 10Ah lithium-ion battery and the hoop's industrial 24V linear actuator, rated 4,500 newtons of force — far more than the hoop ever asks of it, which is why it sips power. Partial-range moves use less, so real-world counts run higher.
Slide-on battery
Slide. Click. Play.
The battery rides a slide-on rail beside the backboard — no wiring, no hardwired charger, no ladder. When it finally runs low, pop it off and charge it wherever there is an outlet. The swap takes seconds.

Battery powered lift
Crank vs. button. No contest.
While a crank system is still winding, the Gladiator lift has already parked the rim at regulation. Thirty-one seconds, one button — so simple your seven-year-old can set their own rim height.
- 6’–10’ full travel
- ~31 sec bottom to top
- One press zero cranking

Wireless remote
Run the whole court from your pocket
Every Gladiator battery-powered hoop pairs with a wireless remote rated past 80 feet. Drag it around the floor — the scorer's table, the sideline, even the couch in the next room. If you're within 80 feet, you're in control.

Built to last
Forged from stainless steel.
Every bolt, bracket, and fastener on a Gladiator hoop is 100% stainless steel — an alloy engineered to stay strong, stay clean, and hold its finish for the life of the court.

Corrosion resistant
A self-healing chromium-oxide layer keeps rust from ever taking hold — no orange streaks, no pitting, no rust bleed onto your wall or floor.
High tensile strength
Holds torque and shrugs off the repeated shock of dunks and rim loads without fatigue — the hardware keeps its grip long after the game.
Sleek, premium finish
A clean satin-steel look that reads professional in any gym — the polished surface holds its shine instead of dulling, chipping, or flaking.
Zero maintenance
No painting, no sealing, no rust treatment — ever. A quick wipe is all it takes. Bolts back out clean years later without seizing or stripping.
Hygienic & non-porous
A sealed surface gives dirt, sweat, and bacteria nowhere to hide — ideal for schools, gyms, and any high-traffic indoor court.
The breakaway rim
See the rim do its job
Hang on it. Dunk through it. The triple-spring side-flex rim deflects under load and snaps back to true - protecting the tempered glass and your wrists on every finish.
Included, not upsold
Backboard padding, already installed
Every Gladiator wall-mount arrives with competition-grade padding already mounted to the bottom edge of the backboard - the exact spot players run into. No add-on, no upcharge, nothing for you to install.
Already own a Gladiator?
Turn your crank into a button.
If a Gladiator manual wall mount is already on your wall, you are most of the way there. The electric lift is built around the same steel skeleton — upgrade the mechanism and keep everything else. Fits manual Gladiators with a 60-inch or 72-inch backboard on the 3-foot overhang.
Keep the good stuff
Your tempered-glass backboard, breakaway rim, steel arms, and wall mount stay exactly where they are. No re-drilling, no new backing.
Swap the crank
The hand-crank mechanism comes off and the battery-powered lift bolts on in its place — motor, padded housing, and battery pack included.
Grab the remote
Pair the wireless remote, bolt its holder courtside, and set your first height from 80 feet away. Welcome to the button life.
Or call 651-269-5950 and we’ll walk you through it
Compatibility: the electric upgrade fits Gladiator manual adjustable wall mounts with a 60-inch or 72-inch backboard and 3-foot (36-inch) overhang only. Not sure what you have? Call with your order info or a photo and we will confirm before you buy.
Wall Backing Requirements
Wall-mount adjustable hoops onlyThis guide covers the wall-mount adjustable hoops only — battery-powered and manual crank, in 18" and 36" overhang. Pick your wall type below to see exactly what needs to be behind the bracket before install day.
Backing must withstand 1,000 lbs of downward force. Failure to follow proper backing instructions may result in property damage, serious injury, or possibly death. When in doubt, consult a structural engineer.
Sheetrock — Framing Stage
Standard installBuilding or renovating? This is the cleanest option: your carpenter installs LVL backing inside the stud cavities, then sheetrock finishes over the top — invisible when done.
- Locate wall center. Find the center of the wall the hoop is going on.
- Fill 88" to 120" from the floor with LVL (laminated veneer lumber) — defect-free from knots, cracks, warping, or cuts.
- Fill the cavity, 3" thick minimum. LVL fills the entire stud cavity front to back.
- Horizontal & secured. All backing runs horizontally and is properly secured to a stud.
- Cover the bracket footprint. The bracket is 16¾" wide with mounting holes 16" wide — back every stud cavity in that area.
- 1,000 lb rating. Backing must withstand 1,000 lbs of downward force.
- Ledge on the wall? Build a box up from the ledge to backing height so the bracket sits flush on the wall.
Sheetrock — Finished Wall
Standard installRoom already finished with no backing behind the sheetrock? Mount the backing on top of the wall surface instead — LVL installed horizontally, anchored into studs.
- Locate wall center. Find the center of the wall the hoop is going on.
- Cover 88" to 120" from the floor with LVL (laminated veneer lumber), installed horizontally on the wall.
- Continuous horizontal runs. Boards can stack vertically to fill the zone, but each horizontal run is a single continuous piece of LVL — no piecing boards end-to-end.
- 3" thick minimum. Thick enough for the wall-plate anchors to fully engage.
- Fasten into 3 studs. Cut the LVL long enough to hit at least 3 studs securely.
- Cover the bracket footprint. Backing spans the full 16¾" bracket width — mounting holes are 16" wide.
- 1,000 lb rating. Backing must withstand 1,000 lbs of downward force.
Concrete Walls
Standard install — if 8" solidSolid concrete is the strongest wall you can mount to. If it's solid, 8 inches thick, and tall enough, no additional backing is needed.
- Solid concrete, 8" thick. Meets thickness with no voids. If under 8", consult a structural engineer.
- Wall reaches full height. Concrete covers the entire 88"–120" backing zone. If it stops short, add proper backing above the concrete to reach spec.
- 1,000 lb rating. Backing must withstand 1,000 lbs of downward force.
Post-Frame / Shed Walls
Standard install — with bracingShed and post-frame walls need horizontal LVL backing plus vertical bracing so long spans don't flex under the hoop's weight. Actual wall structure varies — treat this as the reference layout.
- 3" thick LVL, horizontal. Fill the hoop backing area (up to 120" from the floor) with LVL running horizontally.
- Continuous horizontal runs. Boards can stack vertically to fill the zone, but each horizontal run is a single continuous piece of LVL — no piecing boards end-to-end.
- Brace vertically. 2x12 lumber behind the LVL, secured to the LVL and the shed's structural framing at 4 points per LVL section.
- Cover the bracket footprint. The bracket is 16¾" wide with mounting holes 16" wide.
- 1,000 lb rating. Backing must withstand 1,000 lbs of downward force.
- Wall pad blocking — top row. 2x4 verticals every 2' across 12' of width, positioned 6'–6'6" from the floor.
- Wall pad blocking — bottom row. Same 2x4 layout, positioned 6"–10" from the floor.
Cinderblock / Hollow Walls
Structural engineer requiredHollow-core block behaves very differently under load than solid concrete or framed lumber. Consult a structural engineer before installing any portion of this product on a hollow or cinderblock wall.
- Engineer evaluation first. A structural engineer assesses the wall and specifies an approved mounting method before any part of the install.
- Same load standard applies. Whatever method the engineer specifies must still meet the 1,000 lb downward force rating.
Wall Plate Dimensions
Wall-mount adjustable hoops onlyBoth wall-mount adjustable hoops — battery-powered and manual crank, in 18" and 36" overhang — hang from this steel wall plate. The backing zone exists to give every one of these bolts something solid to bite into.
- 28" tall. The plate stands 28" — the 88"–120" backing zone gives you margin to set mounting height.
- 18" overall width. Outside edge to outside edge across both uprights.
- 16" hole spacing. The two bolt columns sit 16" apart — on 16" O.C. framing they land on adjacent studs.
- Holes on 4" centers. 7 mounting holes per upright, 14 total.
- Full plate on backing. The entire plate footprint must land on the LVL backing zone — never partially on bare sheetrock.
- 1,000 lb rating. Backing behind the plate must withstand 1,000 lbs of downward force.
